Day 20. Golden to Field. 48 km.

Today was a different day because I was tired from the ride over Rogers Pass and I didn't get a good night of sleep. Yesterday Gramie had a bout of double vision which made biking difficult and somewhat dangerous. So we decided to get a rental car and drive home from wherever we could get a car.

That was easier said than done. Golden has no rental agencies, not even a U-HAUL, so we planned to get to Banff and rent there. In the meantime Nicole spoke with her friend, Krista, from Canmore who volunteered to drive to Field and pick us up, then take us to Canmore. My friend, Stu, will pick us up from Canmore. Then I have a car booked for the next day at Calgary Airport to drop at Pearson Airport in Toronto.

When we encountered construction on the Trans-Canada Hwy, a traffic control truck picked us up and took us to the top of 10 Mile Hill. When we got to Field we got a room at Truffles Pig.
