Day 14. Nanaimo to Whistler. 102 May 15.

On Wednesday May 15 we were up before 5am to catch the ferry which sailed from Departure Bay to Horseshoe Bay at 6:15 am. After arriving in Horseshoe Bay we took a nice trail for a way and then it became a steep set of stairs. Eventually we made it onto Hwy 99 toward Whistler. From our previous ride on this route, I don't remember as many hills along today's route.  We took until 4:30 pm to get to D B's condo in Whistler Creekside. Squamish has changed totally since I was a grad student at UBC.

I saw a black bear shortly before we arrived in Squamish.

We walked to a small grocery stores nearby and got a ckiichen and a salad for dinner. Gramie is trying to eat low carb which is quite a challenge on the road.
