Our next stop was Lake Tekapo where there is an observatory at the top of Mt John. On our hike up we stopped to take a picture overlooking the lake and town, and of one of the many stiles that we used in crossing farm fences in this country. Kanji was in hockey withdrawal but the best he could do was stand at centre ice on a rink with no ice.
