May 10. Acuescar

Hiccup today. This morning at about 6 AM Susie was raring to get walking. By 7 she was in agony with sharp pain in the left side. Later she was nauseous and vomiting. The proprietor suggested going to doctor but walking down stairs to a car wasn't possible so he called an ambulance that responded with a doctor. His diagnosis was renal colic due to a kidney stone.

After some meds and a lot of rest she began to feel better. This evening we walked downtown for dinner. Interestingly, our waiter mentioned that Susie looked better; Jorge had to told him about a sick client. Then the waitress from the previous evening came out to say hello to Susie. Everyone was so friendly. Even the teenagers who were cooling their fleet in a public fountain invited me to join them.

The starter ensalada was excellent.

We will see what tomorrow brings. But caution tells me that it's time to get home. Our next destination may be the Madrid airport.
